Rainforest Cottage
Juneau, Alaska

Stay for a day, a week, or a month in
Historic Downtown Juneau, Alaska

On a quiet street only moments from downtown Juneau, Alaska, historic gold mines, and rainforest hikes, the Rainforest Cottage houses two fully-furnished and equipped 2-bedroom apartments. Each is perfect for a family or small group traveling together who wish for both comfort and independence. Travelers with cars can be accommodated with off-street parking (a rarity in downtown Juneau!), though large recreational vehicles cannot be maneuvered on the historic (therefore narrow and winding) streets leading to the Cottage.

Whether you are independent travelers, visitors to Juneau from other cities of Alaska, or a Juneauite looking for a comfortable alternative for visiting friends or family, the Rainforest Cottage will serve your needs both comfortably and conveniently. We hope to see you soon. Sincerely, Sarah and Matthew.

More about the cottage

Juneau, Alaska is among the most beautiful capital cities of the world. Founded where the waters of Alaska's Inside Passage meet the shores of the Coast Mountain Range, Juneau sits at the edge of the Tongass National Forest, North America's only boreal rainforest.

The Rainforest Cottage is located at 863/873 Basin Road, the road to the Perseverance Trail and Historic Mine. These and many other natural and historic sites are within walking distance. Built in 1915, the Cottage is nestled into Mount Maria where Juneau's Gold Rush history began.
